Arsenal will try to destroy Tottenham’s dreams for the title
Today at 4:30 pm Tottenham welcomes Arsenal to their White Hart Lane in the big derby of North London. Traditionally, this match raises the passions in the English capital, but now it will have a doubled charge. The hosts still have a real chance to fight for the Premier League title and therefore need at all costs the three points. However, guests can not leave without winning if they want to keep their hopes for the top 4 and participate in the Champions League next year.
Victory in the derby tonight will surely guarantee at least one thing on the spurs. For the first time in 22 years Tottenham will finish in front of Arsenal in the final standings for the season. However, the goals of the hosts are even greater. They are only 4 points from the first place in the standings, which is currently being played by Chelsea. The White Hart Lane still believes that by the end of the season, the “blue” has gotten to be wrong, and this gives the Spurs the chance to pick up their third-ever title in England. For this purpose, however, they must first do the job themselves and win the remaining 5 games starting today. Arsenal, however, are in a different opinion and will try to confuse the bets of their rival.
Tottenham is in great shape before today’s clash. The team is in a series of 8 consecutive wins in which scored a staggering 23 goals, while at the same time received only 4 hits in its door. However, a disappointment was the drop of the FA Cup 1/2 final from Chelsea.
At the same time, Arsenal is at the opposite pole. The team can not find persistence in their premier league. But during the week, the “gunners” won the Manchester City victory over the FA Cup Final 1/2 finals and made it to a match against Chelsea.
This will be the 164th North London derby in the Premier League and the 185th overall in all the tournaments. The advantage in the previous clashes is in favor of Arsenal with 78 wins, 50 draws and 55 losses (66 points 47 and 50 h in the league). In the first half of the season, both teams did not win at Emirates, with a 1: 1 finish.
Both teams have no problems before the match begins. Spurs can not count on injured Eric Lamela, Harry Winks, Michelle Worm, and Cameron Carter-Wickers. The guests will be absent from Santa Casorla, David Ospina, Lucas Perez and Jeff Reine-Adelaid.
